SMS Marketing: Not Yet Active
We have not launched an SMS marketing program yet. Until we do, the only text messages you may receive are transactional follow-ups tied to a specific inquiry or stay (for example, a reply to a calculator submission you made, or a check-in detail for a stay you booked). When we launch a marketing SMS program, this page will be updated and a separate, explicit opt-in will appear on the lead form and calculator.
1. Program Status
Transactional SMS is on. Marketing SMS is off. We treat these as two different categories, with different consent requirements, under the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act (47 U.S.C. § 227) and the FCC’s implementing rules at 47 C.F.R. § 64.1200.
2. Consent
Transactional SMS. When you submit a phone number on our lead form or calculator, you consent to receive a transactional follow-up by phone, voicemail, or SMS at that number. You can stop these at any time by replying STOP or by emailing support@shortstayinla.com.
Marketing SMS. Marketing SMS (promotions, occupancy availability blasts, newsletter-style text) is sent only to people who provided express written consent to receive marketing text messages. We will require a separate checkbox or other clear opt-in language at the moment we launch marketing SMS, and your transactional consent does not double as marketing consent.
3. What We Send
- response to a calculator or lead-form submission you made;
- scheduling a call to walk through your property;
- booking confirmations, check-in details, mid-stay support;
- operational alerts about your property (managed owners);
- marketing messages, but only after a separate marketing opt-in.
4. Frequency
Transactional message frequency depends on your inquiry or stay. For marketing SMS, where we run it, expected frequency is no more than four (4) messages per month unless explicitly disclosed in the opt-in.
5. Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Your carrier’s standard rates apply to inbound and outbound messages. We do not charge you for the text messages themselves.
6. Opt-Out
Reply STOP to any SMS to opt out. We will confirm with one final message. After that, we will not send marketing SMS to that number, and we will not send transactional SMS unless you re-initiate contact. You can re-subscribe at any time by replying START or by emailing support@shortstayinla.com.
7. Help
Reply HELP for support, or email support@shortstayinla.com. We do not have a 24 / 7 SMS desk; we will reply within one business day.
8. TCPA
We do not place auto-dialed or pre-recorded marketing calls without prior express written consent. We do not send marketing SMS without prior express written consent. We honor opt-out requests immediately and update internal lists within thirty (30) days. We maintain records of consent and opt-out as required by 47 C.F.R. § 64.1200.
